Alex Holmes Things - Alex Holmes

Let me keep this short - Meet Gunnar, Patty, and one of the Techno Twins. Ken U is already talking trash about me....I got him! He's on this list!

---

Exchanged intellect with Carmen Sandiego. Wow moment. Proud of self. Adding Vic The Slick to the list. For him - a change of clothes.

---

Talked to Anja today. She's a sweet girl, but I am seriously worried. How can you play basketball with a bowling ball? It's just one of those things. Anyway...I need to go to one of her concerts one day. I know I haven't been trained yet, but something tells me that if I go out maybe I can catch wind of some of V.I.L.E's next big moves.

---

Another short one - Got my 'going away' gift today: my custom trike motorcycle in Razorback red and white. If you're already thinking about it - it's impossible to steal. All it takes is three special locks in three seconds. There's no way somebody can take it. I'm serious - not even to move it over or even toe it. You can't even put a chain on it or touch a single part without undoing the locks. You have think fast, be fast, and accurate - especially if you're a Holmes. That's what this bike calls for and I will love, but not more than a woman or the woman!

I hoping to trick it out with Philo or Earl Jr. when I get the chance. There has to be some ACME tech I can get my hand on - strickly for crime fighting and preventing uses only. Can't wait! My dad already done enough he can legally

Over the past weeks, I haven't really said much and planned it that way. Why? I don't know. I just wanted to be a shadow on the wall.

I may have a big mouth and sometimes it may speak too much for me - for what's really been going on. Does this affect my job? Personally, yes. The more I exist in this world, the more I understand  that silence is truly golden. I am too flashy for my own good. I don't have any solid ground to stand - not as a detective, but truly as a man.

When I was a child, my dream was to be one of the world's greatest detectives and capture Carmen Sandiego. I did whatever research I could when I was a child and found her the most amazing woman in the world. My young, naive mind was like "If girls are like this, I definitely want one." while the other side of the coin spung a different tale. It said - "VILE needs to be stopped. They're taking too many precious items that the world loves. If Carmen's the key to making it stop, then that is my goal. I MUST capture Carmen Sandiego."

The day I told my parents this my father leaped for joy as my mother I remember my mother saying (but it was more like hysterical mumbling) was "My baby's gonna die trying to get some crazy white woman!" After that, it was just her balling her eyes out screaming and mumbling about how detective work is dangerous and "God knows what that Carmen woman would do if you go too deep. She'll probably send someone to kill you then I have to plan your funeral and....and...." then another ten minute session of tears. My father finally got my mother to lie down in their bed as he talked to me about the family history.

At the start, he had to mentioned Sherlock - my great grandfather and his wife, Thila, an African indentured servant for a local tea shop and bakery he met during off time between his cases, but really didn't become a couple until his retirement. This relationship has been kept out of the history books for years because there was nothing exciting about it. The only big deal was they had children after Sherlock have moved to the country to take up bee farming. Even though bee farming kept bread on the table back then, Sherlock made sure that all four of his children would learn the family trade of deduction. None of those children would go on and become detectives or private eyes, but as my father put it, "When ever there was something a little bit outside, we would always pull it in from the shadows." That means we would just quietly assist those who needed a break in their case.

This is where my weeks of reflection comes in. Every case is important to me because every case is important to someone else. Sherlock did his cases not only for the love, but the excitement. The world knows what he did after every case. He would head back to Baker Street, clean himself up, put on his finest clothes for relaxation, light his pipe, sit down, and ponder about his case. I can't do that. As soon as I finish one case, I have to grab the other. This is the only thing that separates us - relaxation vs adrenaline. I am going to take a page ouf Sherlock's book and relax - let everything play out in-front of me and just think about it.

In the past, I could not accept myself as a 'rookie'.

Personally, a 'rookie' means to me that he or she is just an empty vase that needed to be filled with the knowledge of its company or team. What some companies fail to realize is that that same empty vase has somethings already in it that should be brought out. Usually, they want to see if the vase would pull it out their selves and make them recognize it. Then the company or team would see it and either do two things with it - refine it or break it. They'll refine it if that vase pulled out something that the company can use to its advantage or the other company's disadvantage. If the same vase pulls out something that the company doesn't like, they'll try to take it and throw it away. If they can't take it away, they would 'chip away'  at the vase enough that special something that made the vase isn't a factor anymore.

Am I saying anything against ACME here? No. I have a strong and distinctive loyalty to ACME and never shall I betray it for another organization that works against them.

As of this moment, I have not went out into the field or began my training as an ACME detective. However, there are things I can do on my own. I can read up on famous cases to gain insight on what to look for or be aware of in other cases. They say that no two crimes are the same and I agree with that, but some cases might have a similar repetition if you have a keen eye. Also being with ACME, I can start looking at more the world's most casual, unusual, and sometimes unexpected hot spots. Maybe I can just jump on a plane and travel where ever I can go (just as long as I stay out of trouble...or out of an ACME investigation). A detective's work may never end, but it may end sooner if you don't enjoy his or her life.

When this big case is over, maybe I can start being Alex Holmes, ACME 'Rookie' Detective. Hopefully, ACME won't take anything important out of my vase that's important to me. I don't plan on bending and breaking ACME protocol. As I learned from my great-grandfather, you have to play by the game in order to get anywhere.

For right now, I shall be Alex Holmes, a "vase". First stop....Brazil!

Hello! Just decided to make a post since I am in the middle of my world travels.

Everything's fine and I hope to be back in the swing of things soon. Oh yea!

Just heard about a 'Carmen Sandiego' movie. I think it's a front, but you all can look into it.

Anyway, my next stop is Tibet. I am really wanting to learn Buddist mediatation.

Take care and see you all soon! ALEX HOLMES! OUT LIKE YESTERDAY!
