Welcome! You have entered [Neutral Grounds] at 10:47 am
[ Kidman ]: -- Welcome! Please stay in character while in chat, (use parenthesis for Out Of Character messages). Also remember, this is the Internet, DO NOT give out personal information.
[ Kidman ]: Hey
[Neutral Grounds]: Ivy has entered at 10:57 am
[ Kidman ]: Hullo, Ivy.
[ Ivy ]: Hey Kidman
[ Chase ]: Hello (sorry was away)
[ Ivy ]: Hey CHase
[ Kidman ]: I have the headache that won't die.
[ Ivy ]: That's terrible.
[ Ivy ]: Is it something you get often?
[ Kidman ]: Unfortunately, yes.
[ Ivy ]: On medication?
[ Kidman ]: But I think this one is finally letting up.
[ Kidman ]: Just over the counter stuff.
[ Kidman ]: I should really get something stronger.;-p
[ Kidman ]: But once it's gone I forget about it.;-)
[ Ivy ]: Haha
[ Chase ]: (I was working on a post.)
[ Ivy ]: That's the way we usually work
[ Chase ]: (And finally got it up)
[ Kidman ]: (heh)
[ Chase ]: Next, it's off to Chip.
[ Kidman ]: Awww....you get five more stars, Chase.
[ Ivy ]: Awesome Chase
[ Chase ]: Thanks. So it works?
[ Chase ]: Nothing too confusing?
[ Kidman ]: I liked it. :-)
[ Chase ]: Great. Thanks for liking it. Now I can sleep easy(ier)
[ Kidman ]: You get the stars for this; "While Mikal suggested they were lying and a different method may be required, the Field Director saw further grilling unnecessary."
[ Kidman ]: Stars!!
[ Kidman ]: ***********
[ Kidman ]: However, this reporter does have one question;
[ Chase ]: Even if they were lying, she'd be long gone by the time we get back to the area.
[ Chase ]: Sure, unofficial reporter, shoot.
[ Kidman ]: "How do you explain the bright light that entered through the atmosphere over Tunisa? We have tape from several Beduins in the area that claim they saw something akin to a missle.
[ Kidman ]: "
[ Kidman ]: (Probably spelt Beduins wrong)
[ Chase ]: (First off, the location was too far away for any filming -- that's why Carmen's people set up a watch tower. The only tape in existance is the one we already have -- captured by Tunisian officials.)
[ Chase ]: (Second, this happened while the sun is bright, any 'bright light' is significantly reduced.)
[ Kidman ]: (It was during the day? I could have sworn it was at night.)
[ Chase ]: (Third, this is a tungsten rod, not a missile. It's much smaller, more accurate, and less observable unless you're close to the blast zone.)
[ Ivy ]: (very interesting)
[ Kidman ]: (But I would think anything breaking the atmosphere would be noticable)
[ Chase ]: (In the day, the extraction of objects in the tower happened at night, and it was morning by the time Oxide was done reviewing the tower.)
[ Kidman ]: (Oh right! Okay, that part computes)
[ Chase ]: (It doesn't leave a trail of smoke like a missile would.)
[ Kidman ]: (But you see meteorites)
[ Chase ]: (Even if it's spotted, it would look like a falling star. In the sunlight, that's hardly noticable.)
[ Kidman ]: (Or meteors)
[ Chase ]: (It's not as large as a meteor)
[ Kidman ]: (Also true....)
[ Kidman ]: (Okay, so the Tuniasian goverment is aware of this?)
[ Kidman ]: (cripes my spelling)
[ Chase ]: (Yes, they are, and will help us cover it up as long as no civilian was killed.)
[ Chase ]: (Also in this are the Israeli Special Forces.)
[ Chase ]: (And the CIA.)
[ Chase ]: (Or, a division of CIA)
[ Ivy ]: (I have to run off. save chat log for me?)
[Neutral Grounds]: Ivy has left at 11:25 am
[ Chase ]: Anytime, Ivy.
[ Kidman ]: (right)
[ Chase ]: Heh, 'run' she did.
[ Kidman ]: So you say the Tunisian gov was okay with this. And this took place over the Christmas holidays?
[ Chase ]: (Actually, it took place in November but we had to move it back because posting didn't take place in time.)
[ Kidman ]: (Huh. So then...wait, are we in November then?)
[ Chase ]: (It takes place a little before the holidays)
[ Chase ]: (November-December is fine.)
[ Chase ]: (We haven't celebrated Christmas 2011 yet in the RP)
[ Kidman ]: (If we're playing this realistically, the time is pretty important, if you know what I mean)
[ Kidman ]: (This is Tunisia)
[ Chase ]: (Sophie gets engaged over Christmas 2011, so she's leaving for that in the RPs.)
[ Chase ]: (We're not playing this 100-percent realistically because we also have some differences like the C-5 and etc.)
[ Chase ]: (The time line doesn't have to follow world events exactly, it just has to reference some.)
[ Chase ]: (Or we can't explain Venice having 2 parties during Blue Moon Masquerade.)
[ Kidman ]: (There were two?)
[ Chase ]: (This universe is a variation of the current reality... to an extent.)
[ Chase ]: (There were two, one for everybody else, and one staged by the Italian Foreign Affairs to lure criminals.)
[ Kidman ]: (Well I can see that, if they wanted to plant a trap in the real one. Seems plausible)
[ Chase ]: (Right, but in real life, there was only one party that blue moon month.)
[ Chase ]: (So we have to make up for fiction.)
[ Kidman ]: (They didn't happen similtaneously?)
[ Chase ]: (In our time line, the Tunisian riot was never detailed, just glazed over.)
[ Chase ]: (Like in our timeline, there were 2 blue moon parties in Venice -- where in reality, there was only one.)
[ Kidman ]: (I can see getting around the riot, but having the 'government' be cool about it is a little weird)
[ Kidman ]: (Though I guess it was fairly intact at the time)
[ Chase ]: (The Tunisian government won't have time to deal with international affairs either.)
[ Chase ]: (With the country in turmoil, this is even easier to get away with.)
[ Kidman ]: (I always thought that both parties took place at the same place and time, like an infiltration)
[ Chase ]: (Each party took place opposite of the canal.)
[ Kidman ]: (See, I would think they would play it as Western interference to deflect the blame)
[ Chase ]: (One party was only to showcase the Mask of Helen)
[ Chase ]: (No, they won't -- the conflict in Tunisia is deeply rooted in something else. What happens out in the middle of nowhere is none of their concern.)
[ Kidman ]: (A theme party still seems legit. I'd buy it.)
[ Chase ]: (Yeah, the layout for Blue Moon was decently solid.)
[ Kidman ]: (A desperate government would try anything. Mubarak tried to use the fact that the tear gas canisters were manufactured in the US, if I remember correctly. And Iran, over everything)
[ Chase ]: (Yes, but that's a different case.)
[ Chase ]: (The tower was already being monitored by Israeli forces (in a post that I wrote on page 5 of Hiatus))
[ Chase ]: (And also, its destruction was so fast, that nothing but sand was left.)
[ Kidman ]: (This took place over the course of 24ish hours, yes?)
[ Chase ]: (With the winds around southern tunisia, the site would be decently covered within 3-4 hours.)
[ Chase ]: (Yes, 24-ish hours.)
[ Chase ]: (It's a clean deal. That's why I'm going to help Carmen with the bunker under ACME Tower twist.)
[ Chase ]: (Can't leave her with no option.)
[ Kidman ]: (She did say you owed her a 'card' to play)
[ Chase ]: (Yeah, necessary.)
[ Chase ]: (Or else the only way to end this is one of us kills the other. -- figuratively)
[ Kidman ]: (Uh....)
[ Kidman ]: (Wait, what?)
[ Chase ]: (Wait on what?)
[ Kidman ]: (Why would anyone have to kill anyone, fig or no?)
[ Chase ]: (I don't mean literally)
[ Chase ]: (It's a perpetual cycle, it has to break somewhere.)
[ Chase ]: (I was admittedly relieved to know Pru had this bunker plan all along.)
[ Chase ]: (Otherwise, I had no reason to forgive her.)
[ Chase ]: (Chase -- had no reason -- but now, it seems logical.)
[ Kidman ]: (Oh Carmen, do you never cease to amaze?)
[ Chase ]: (Without a 'bunker', I'd have to keep going after her like she took the tower 'for fun.')
[ Chase ]: (Now that there's a reason, I'm a lot calmer.)
[ Kidman ]: My boss is the best boss, la la la la
[ Chase ]: Your boss makes careful moves.
[ Kidman ]: My boss moves in mysterious ways.
[ Chase ]: It's admirable, but that doesn't mean she can't make the one wrong move that ends it for her.
[ Chase ]: As far as I can see, she almost did with this tower.
[ Kidman ]: shrugs.
[ Kidman ]: I'm begining to understand her now.
[ Chase ]: Understand her, or her actions?
[ Kidman ]: I spent my life hiding because I feared the facts that bound me.
[ Kidman ]: Following commonsense orders, as it were.
[ Kidman ]: But Carmen sees something more.
[ Kidman ]: What can you achieve if you dare push what Is aside?
[ Kidman ]: Run without looking down?
[ Kidman ]: Calculated, of course.
[ Kidman ]: Not everyone can, but she can.
[ Kidman ]: So she does.
[ Chase ]: Sometimes, I think she's got phobophobia.
[ Kidman ]: She was made for this, Chase. :-)
[ Kidman ]: Oh nonsense.
[ Kidman ]: That's rather simplistic.
[ Chase ]: Explain, if it's so simple.
[ Kidman ]: Saying she acts out of fear of fear in simplistic.
[ Kidman ]: If so, she'd be doing a whole lot more, and throuroughly unproductive things.
[ Kidman ]: Think about it, Chase. This life you lead is fraught with danger.
[ Kidman ]: You almost got killed at Blue Moon.
[ Kidman ]: Has it deterred you much?
