I had photos from my 2002 ADCNJ win, but for the life of me I can't find them. Instead enjoy this picture of me getting honors for it at MSU later that month. The Gallery 3.5, Solo Show, 2003. I set this up myself and ran it for two weeks. This was me at opening night before the crowd. This show required a lot of heavy lifting on my part. I painted the gallery with a new coat of white beforehand and burned my hands fixing the bulbs. Ah well, no one else was going to do it! These posters are about 27"x30". The BFA Show, 5/2/2003-5/16/2003 Gallery One at Montclair State University. The binding was done correctly, but it was still fragile. To keep people from opening it too wide I decorated the clamps and set them up with it as part of the project. It worked smashingly. ADCNY 82nd Gala 6/5/2003. Expensive but fun. That man behind us is from Denmark. Famous People! President of ADCNY Robert Greenberg and from Rubicam and Young are looking though the book with much interest. Even more interesting is that those flowers went on fire by a candle below it a few moments after this picture was taken. A good time was had by all. Top view of ADCNY's Gallery space by day A week later I was invited to ADCNY's 100 Illustrators Portfolio Review. I drank a whole bottle of soda before realizing it was diet. Dealbreakers. I don't know if anyone actually got work from this show but there was much haggling on both sides of the table. Left side is the artists and Right side is the Dealers. These bags were given to all the Buyers that attended. There we can see my postcard amongst the established illustrators of my time. He's out of sync down here but he's a vertical picture so what are you going to do? This is the Creative director of the SCI-FI channel, looking at my book. I'm not worthy! American Idol 3, August 25, 2003 - I had made a bet with my class that I could get on American Idol 3. And so I did. This is me at the second round in the balconies before the security gaurds chase me off. This and the other picture were taken at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City. I spent most of my time taking pictures of it's many ornate details. Kwan and I didn't make it past the second round as Kwan forgot her song and my voice was too soft. This is a shame because you don't get to meet the infamous Simon Cowell until the third round, contrary to popular belief that he is present at the first.
